由西安东元美术馆主办的《“行足记”范炳南-中国长安/美国加州扇面创作展》将于2024年02月25日下午15：00在西安东元美术馆启幕。本次展览以艺术家范炳南在中国长安以及美国加州两个不同时期、地点所创作的水墨扇面作品，共计展出作品50余件。

范炳南先生自幼研习书画，早年师从赵望云、何海霞等长安画派先贤，对金石文物有着丰富的鉴藏经验，有着深厚的传统文化基础。同时，旅美数年间，对于西方艺术和国际趋势同样充满洞察力和辨别力。历史上，新潮美术风向的形成往往有赖于所谓在野艺术家对个人及群体文化权利的声张，范炳南先生是典型的在野艺术家，不谋官职，自己供养着自己的水墨图式。“养”的指向并非只有温润和趣味性，范炳南的“养”，是抗争式的。个例献祭于史观立场，实则是一种偏见和冷漠，范炳南先生正是在力证艺术家身份中最为重要的“自由”特性。范炳南先生的突破也就在于这里，他不是“我们”画家中的一块砖，复印机，而是独一的这一个人，画家。艺术心灵的自由，不羁的想象力，独特的技艺，就是他创作的不二法门。由此，他在人类的精神世界中，才能创造出一个崭新的独特的艺术天地，我们更愿意称之为范炳南先生艺术。创新，这正是范炳南艺术的价值所在。

展览前言 |十方行足

我是一位在家居士，皈依终南山净业寺律宗祖庭方丈本如大和尚。赐名，觉山，从此刻一方印觉山老陕红印盖在宣纸上。

十方行足，是佛家修行的术语；云游、打禅、化缘，出世都是十方行足的佛家造化。我虽未在山林居斗室绘丹靑，但我几十年来国际来回游走。心中礼佛行十方足。从绘画中表示佛教给予我精神的能量支持，让世界各地的云游感悟指导我墨笔入境，禅意入法。这次我病修美国半年利用康复间隙，我游走南加州，创作身边生活刹那，画在扇面之上，正巧长安城南的近墙楼画室一角放置了一些在西安时画的扇面小品正好与加卅画的扇面形成对比有趣的画面。产生长安与加州游走十方禅悟的共性表达——天地十方，皆是可爱。借龙年正月十五吉日。在东元美术馆展出。

以闹元宵节的心态。以感恩朋友的诚心以记念本如大和尚心境。

Exhibition Preface | Ten directions

I am a lay monk who took refuge in the abbot of the Vinaya Sect of the Pure Ye Temple in the South Mountain. Giving the name, Jue Mountain, from this moment on one side of the Yin Jue Mountain Lao Sha red seal on the propaganda paper.

Walking in the Ten Directions is the technical term of Buddhist practice; Traveling, Zen, and transformation are all Buddhism's creations in all directions. Although I have not painted Dan in the mountains and forests, I have traveled back and forth between the world for decades. Bow to the Buddha in your heart and walk in ten directions. From the painting, I said that Buddhism has given me spiritual energy support, so that the wandering feelings around the world have guided me to enter the ink pen and enter the Dharma. This time, I took advantage of the gap between my recovery in the United States for half a year, and I traveled to Southern California to create a moment of life around me, and the painting was on the fan, and it happened that in the corner of the painting room near the wall in the south of Chang'an City, some fan sketches painted in Xi'an were placed in the corner of the painting in Xi'an, which happened to contrast with the fan of the Jiayan painting. The common expression of Chang'an and California's wandering ten directions of Zen enlightenment - the ten directions of heaven and earth are all lovely. On the fifteenth auspicious day of the first month of the Year of the Dragon. It is exhibited at the Tokyo Academy Museum of Fine Arts.
