前言

2000年以来，以乡村建设为背景的艺术活动不胜枚举，此次展览囊括近年来发生在国内外，尤其是西南地区的乡村公共艺术创作、艺术乡建、社区营造、民间工艺创新、文化遗产保护等作品和案例。参与此次展览的人员包括村民、建筑师、艺术家、教育工作者、文化产业实践者和相关社会组织及团体。他们以在地性和参与性的创作为核心概念，以乡村文化创意为基础，尊重乡村的历史文化脉络，在不同的地域展开对公共空间的建设和干预，激发当地村民的文化自觉，使公共艺术与乡村现场有机结合，并通过展示这些个体与集体特有实践方法与路径来感知今天的乡土。

这些基于不同背景、方法和策略的艺术实践正在改变着人们对乡村的认识，展现出一个不同以往的、充满生机的地方。展览强调一种地方性与国际性的对比视角，兼顾同类型艺术实践项目的在地性和当下性，特别是近年来中国乡村的社会现场。由此，展览分为两个展区，其一是贵州省遵义市美术馆为作品与文献展展区；其二为以贵州省遵义市羊磴镇羊磴艺术馆、羊磴艺术合作社、小春堂等为在地艺术创作展区。参与者一方面在不同的地域展开对传统乡村和非都市空间的建设和干预；另一方面也传递着振兴乡村背景下城乡融合的实验和愿景。

展览希望在中国乡村振兴背景下，通过在地创作、文献展览、学术讨论、媒体传播等渠道来记录今天乡村公共艺术的本土现实样本。在诸多学科参与的当代乡村建设热潮中，乡村公共艺术以其理想情怀、创造力和介入方式多样性独树一帜。总体而言，展览试图通过公共艺术的视角呈现出近年来乡村建设的多元化面貌。

项目由四川美术学院和遵义市文化旅游局共同发起，联动国内外公共艺术乡村项目与相关机构部门。邀请中国与国际的艺术家与学者开展村落创作、学术研讨和文献展览。

Since 2000, there have been countless activities and projects based on rural cultural surveys, artistic practice, and educational research. This exhibition includes rural public art practices that have occurred in Guizhou, China, the southwestern region, and nationwide in recent years. Typical works and cases in the artistic township construction, community construction, folk craft innovation, cultural industry construction, cultural heritage protection, etc，as well as foreign literature on the same type of practice. Participants in this exhibition include villager, architects, artists, educators, cultural industry practitioners and related social organizations and groups. They take the locality and participatory village creation as the core concept, based on the rural cultural creativity, inspiring the cultural consciousness of the local villagers, and organically integrating public art with the rural scene. Participants also look around the world, refer to excellent international cases and related theories, actively communicate and interact with related scholars, artists, etc., and perceive today's countryside through the unique methods and paths of individuals and collectives.

These art practices based on different backgrounds, methods and strategies are changing people’s understanding of the countryside, showing a different and vibrant place. The exhibition emphasizes a contrasting perspective between local and international, taking into account the local and present nature of the same type of art practice projects, especially in recent years, the social scene in rural China. Therefore, the exhibition is divided into two exhibition areas. One is the works and document exhibition area at the Zunyi Art Museum, Guizhou Province; the other is the Yangdeng Art Museum, Yangdeng Art Cooperative, and Xiaochuntang in Yangdeng Town, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. It is an exhibition area for local art creation. On the one hand, participants carried out the construction and intervention of traditional rural and non-urban spaces in different regions; on the other hand, they also conveyed the experiment and vision of the integration of urban and rural areas in the context of revitalizing the countryside.

The exhibition aims to record the local reality samples of today's rural public art through local creation, document exhibition, academic discussion, media communication and other channels under the background of China's rural revitalization. In the contemporary rural construction booming with participation of many disciplines, rural public art is unique with its ideal feelings, creativity and diversity of intervention methods. In general, the exhibition attempts to present the diversified aspects of rural construction in recent years through the perspective of public art.

The project was co-sponsored by Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and Zunyi Culture and Tourism Bureau, linking domestic and foreign public art rural projects and related institutions. Chinese and international artists and scholars are invited to carry out village creation, academic seminars and document exhibitions.
